about your day
Investing in a professional photographer to record your wedding day is so important. Every wedding I photograph is unique with it’s own challenges. I would say that experience counts enormously when choosing your photographer. The investment you make in recording your very special day will last you a lifetime, so it is important that you have the right person to do this. Dealing with composition in fast moving situations, being in the right place at the right time so as not to miss that breathtaking shot and keeping things natural and unposed, whilst remaining as unobstrusive as possible are not easy things to do. I love these challenges.
I like to get as much detail as I can from all prospective couples as soon as possible. This way I can tailor my wedding day coverage accordingly, and can then advise on the investment that best suits them.
The cost of your wedding photography is a small investment in comparison to the overall costs of your day, but it is only part of that process that is a permanent record of the day. A visual memory of you wedding.
before your wedding
I only photograph a limited number of weddings each year so as not to comprise the standard of my work. Hopefully when you make your inquiry I will be available for your special day. I am only able to confirm a booking once the contract has been signed and the deposit paid. I am happy to catch up with you via a WhatsApp or a Facetime call at a convenient time to discuss all the details.
If you feel that I would be a perfect match to record your wedding day I will send you a copy of my wedding contract to read, sign and return. I then countersign and return a copy to you. All that is left is to pay a 50% deposit which secures your date, the second 50% is payable two weeks before the day.
I am normally in touch with my clients several times leading up to the wedding day. I am always happy to offer any advice that I can and answer any questions that you might have.
on your wedding day
I aim to arrive at a venue 2 hours before the start of the ceremony. After saying hi, I then have time to familiarise myself with where to capture the best shots, as well having time to take those detail shots that make such a difference. I begin shooting the preparations of the bride and groom leading up to the ceremony.
I always try to be as unobtrusive as possible during both the wedding ceremony and afterwards when photographing the couple and guests. Most of my clients do ask for some group photographs of family members, this I try to achieve in as a relaxed style as possible as well.
When I provide all day coverage, I will be with you from the start of your getting ready preparations right through to the first dance and a little bit beyond, to capture your guests dancing. It is not a problem if the timings of the day over-run, I will stay until the I am happy I have recorded everything we discussed.
I do ask that you provide me with something to eat on the day, I do not have any dietary requirements.
after your wedding
In order to retain my unique photographic style, I do all the editing and retouching of your wedding day photographs myself. These images are normally ready to view 3-4 weeks after the wedding. All the edited photographs are uploaded to your private online gallery. They are also supplied on a USB drive in my own presentation box which is posted to you. You will also receive a 30 picture online slide show with music, giving you and your friends and family a “snapshot” of your day.
I also provide a mixture of colour and black and white images. However, I am always happy to supply a number of photographs of your own choice, in black and white as well. If you would like a photo-book or album I am happy to provide you with prices for these.
All images of your special day are supplied on a USB in my own beautiful presentation box which is mailed to you.
I hope you have all the information you need, if not please feel free to contact me.
